Service Description

Join me in the studio for a relaxed and creative ceramic sculpture course where you can explore form, texture, and character in clay. Over seven evenings, you’ll learn to build, shape, and finish your own sculptural work — from the first hand-built form through to the final glaze firing. Whether your ideas are abstract, animal, or figurative, you’ll be encouraged to experiment and find your own sculptural language in a supportive, friendly atmosphere. On the final (8th) evening, we’ll unload the kiln, share and view each other’s finished pieces, exchange positive feedback, discuss ways to document the work, pack everything up, and—optionally—go out for a celebratory meal together! No prior experience is needed — just enthusiasm and a willingness to experiment. All materials are included: clay, underglazes, glazes, and firings. Clay modelling tools are available, but feel free to bring your own favourites if you have them. Optional: You might also like to bring an apron, a sketchbook, and a set of soft fan paintbrushes for glazing, and any of your favourite clay modelling tools if you have them.
