Evening: Drawing, Mixed-media & Collage

Service Description

This evening course explores drawing, collage, and mixed media through a series of structured and engaging exercises. With a focus on developing hand–eye coordination and confidence in mark-making, you will work from observation as well as through guided approaches designed to support all levels—including complete beginners. Alongside drawing, you will experiment with watercolour, collage, and found imagery to explore composition, layering, and image-making. Exercises move between representational and more imaginative approaches, helping you expand how you see and construct images without requiring prior experience. The course combines practical skill-building with creative exploration, encouraging you to develop your own visual language over time. Sessions include clear guidance, feedback, and space to experiment within a supportive framework. Suitable for all levels, no previous drawing experience is required—just curiosity and a willingness to try. Booking & Information: Places are limited to 6 participants to keep the group small and allow for individual support. What to bring: • A small sketchbook (any format you like) • A block of watercolour or heavy drawing paper (min. 200 gsm) • A range of pencils (e.g. 2B, 4B, 6B) • Coloured or watercolour pencils (if you have them) • A small watercolour set • A few brushes in different sizes (around 3 is perfect) • Collage materials you’d like to use (magazines, papers, images, etc.) • A glue stick and scissors Some additional materials will also be provided during the course.
