Well this past week the Hutchins School in Tasmania contacted me to tell me they are purchasing “Monkey magic” for their collection! The image is pictured below in an entry in made in August when I announced that it was a finalist piece in their works on paper prize. I am, of course. delighted to be part of their collection and am relieved that the work arrived in one piece. There is some serious wrapping involved in sending things to Tasmania!
Other good news is that ‘Equine Felidae” – my little designer horse hybrid sculpture – has been awarded the staff choice prize from Yering Station Sculpture prize in Victoria. Each participating artist was also awarded an exhibition fee of $200 which helps towards freight costs and is much appreciated.
