A Night to Remember
Earlier this year, I was absolutely thrilled to be included in the “Half a Pound of Art” exhibition at Stephan Stumpf’s incredibly cool gallery in Munich! I had visited several of his exhibitions before and felt a real connection with his curatorial aesthetic. It’s like he knows exactly what I love — beautiful yet slightly creepy and unsettling. Just my vibe!
The opening night for Half a Pound of Art was packed! Can you believe it? Even some of my collage students came along to support me and see the exhibition, which was just so sweet. It warmed my heart! It was wonderful to see so many people at the opening, but I was also grateful for the chance to return with a friend on another day. This time, I could really engage with the artworks. You know, take my time and soak it all in!
Working with Stephan Stumpf
Now, let me tell you about Stephan Stumpf. He’s not just a gallerist; he’s a gem! He follows up with his artists, takes a real interest in their practice, and actively creates opportunities to promote their work. I mean, how often do you find someone like that? He’s super active on Instagram, regularly sharing videos discussing the artworks in the gallery and interviewing artists in their studios. It’s like he’s a cheerleader for our creativity!
I’m planning to meet with him later this month in my own Munich studio to show him what’s been cooking! I can’t wait to share my latest pieces and get his feedback. It’s always exciting to collaborate with someone who truly understands the art world.
Upcoming Events
Oh, and guess what? Stephan Stumpf has another group exhibition opening tonight called “Mishmash”, running from 7–10 pm. I might see you there! It’s going to be a fantastic night filled with creativity and inspiration. I’m buzzing just thinking about it!
The Impact of Art
Art has this incredible power to connect people, don’t you think? It brings us together in ways that words sometimes can’t. Whether it’s through a haunting painting or a thought-provoking sculpture, art speaks to our souls. It makes us feel, think, and sometimes even question the world around us.
As I continue my journey in the art world, I’m committed to exploring the depths of human and animal forms. I want to delve into their impact on our lives and the environment. My goal is to create and exhibit unique contemporary figurative art that resonates with collectors and galleries alike.
The Journey Ahead
I’m excited about what the future holds! With every piece I create, I’m learning more about myself and the world. My artistic exploration is a never-ending journey, and I can’t wait to see where it takes me next.
So, here’s to more exhibitions, more connections, and more art! Let’s keep pushing boundaries and exploring the beauty in the world around us. After all, art is not just something we see; it’s something we feel and experience together.
Let’s keep the conversation going! What are your thoughts on the impact of art? Have you ever felt a deep connection to a piece? I’d love to hear your stories!
