Our interdisciplinary group exhibition, Trouble in Paradise, opened at the GEDOK Galerie in Munich on September 5th. This project, which has been in the works for some time, was created in collaboration with fellow artists Anne Pincus and Iris Schabert, and includes poetry by writers Katharina Ponnier and Sabine Jörg, plus a musical performance by Masako Ohta. The opening night was lively and engaging, with writer Sabine Jörg delivering a witty, dark, and clever performative reading.
The exhibition explores the more unsettling aspects of our relationship with nature - our problematic relationship with animals, biotechnology, viruses, environmental disasters, manipulating nature, and invasive species. It showcases a diverse range of works, including sculptures, ceramic wall objects, drawings, paintings, video, poetry, prose, and even features a special musical performance by the wonderful Masako Ohta, which will take place in the gallery next Wednesday, September 25th, at 6pm. The artists will also be present for this event and we warmly invite you to join us.
