I am excited to announce that our group exhibition application has already been successfuL We ( myself, Anne Pincus and Iris Schabert) will be exhibiting together at Gallerie Michael Heudfelder in Munich next summer! All that hard work creating a beautiful, catalogue-quality application has paid off! We are still awaiting responses from other galleries which are mostly situated outside of Munich but I have a good feeling we will have more success stories to tell.
I have come to the realisation that more important than finding a studio to rent, is having an exhibition to work towards. When I have a creative deadline, I am suddenly highly motivated to make new work and complete long overdue projects. Afterall , I have always created artworks at home, transforming whatever available space into my studio. It just so happens that our living room is larger and brighter than most studios I could afford to rent here in Munich anyway!
So far I have been creating small works on paper and working on my sculptures but I have some ideas for larger works too. I will leave you with a few of my recent little hybrid drawings…yes, returning to that theme but with a different take on it this time.
